We finished our measuring unit today by reviewing main concepts and finish our review in MMS.

Unit of Inquiry

Today we talked about our new research project. Students will be using books from the library and information online to research their favourite artist! This will be done in class, however you are more than welcomed to do some at home as well! Students will present their artist to the class, and also recreate a painting.

Spelling

Students copied down their weekly words 3 times from the board, and then created a sentence for each word. They then worked in their textbooks.

Math Makes Sense

Today we learned about area! We practiced covering the surface of different things in class like the carpet and our desk. They calculated with partners, and then they practiced doing this in their Math Makes Sense. We are going to continue finishing this lesson tomorrow, as I feel they need more practice!

The students expressed their love for spring today! We reflected what we see, why we like it, and what we do during springtime. They expressed their ideas in a graphic organizer.
