Good Morning everyone!! I hope the weekend was great! Arts night is right around the corner! This Wednesday, June 4th, 2014, the students will be presenting their Oompa Lumpa song and dance! The event will take place at 7:00pm. I am asking that students be here at 6:30 pm to prepare our costumes. They should be wearing white pants and a green t-shirt or long sleeve t-shirt! I will be painting their faces orange and spray-painting their hair green! Any parents who are available to help, I would really appreciate it! Hope to see you there J
With the last day of school fast approaching us, I wanted to let everyone know that Friday, June 13th, 2014 will be A HALF-DAY! School will be done at 11:30am. We will be hosting a SUMMER FAIR! The summer fair will be filled with lots of exciting games, food, and drink. The fair will begin at 12:00pm and end at 2:00pm. We thought this would be an amazing way to say goodbye. Ticket for children will be $10.00 and tickets for adults will be $5.00. Adults MUST be present with children for those who would like to join. After care will only run that day until 4:00 pm for those who can not attend, or who can not make it by 11:30am.
Please take a look at our summer camp programs offered here at St. Jude’s. It is an amazing program this year with lots of fun activities! I know there are a few students who have not yet registered for next year. I know there are only a couple spots left for both grade 2, and grade 3.  If you have not registered and would like to come back next year, PLEASE do so soon.

This morning we had the practice rehearsal for our big show tonight! Then after.

The grade 1’s and 2’s had their math assessment today!

Language
Today the both grade 1’s and 2’s worked on their language skills in their Language Workbook.

We continued to work on our Arts Night Presentation.

NOVEL: CHOCOLATE TOUCH
We reviewed chapter 5. And finished our worksheet! Then, we read chapter 6 and 7 as a class, and the students discussed their favourite parts of the novel in groups, and then as a class.

Have a wonderful evening!
