We have a VERY busy next few weeks, so please take a look at the important dates listed below!

Please check out upcoming announcements:  

1.   Toronto ZOO! Permission form and money due before May 28^th, 2015.

2.   Toronto ZOO Trip: Thursday, June 11^th, 2015 (We will be leaving at 9:00am. Don’t forget that students will be carrying their own lunch bags this trip! Please send them with a backpack and shoes that are comfortable for them. Students should also be wearing sunscreen and a hat!

3.   UOI SUMMATIVE! The habitat that is made for the animal is done at home! The only part we are working on in class is the written information that will be presented with their animal.

4.   Thursday, June 4^th, 2015: Spelling Bee for grades JK to 2 begins at 9:00am!

5.   ARTS NIGHT: Wednesday, June 3^rd, 2014: Starts ay 7:00pm! Students will wear all brown! If brown is too hard to find, then students can wear black.

6.   Casual Day: Wednesday, June 10^th, 2014 (this is also graduation day so students are invited to dress up)

7.   Graduation Day for Grades JK – 2: Wednesday, June 10^th, 2015: Begins at 2:00 pm

Unit of Inquiry

We continued to work on our summative project today in class.

Novel Study

Today we read chapter 5 of the chocolate touch! The students retold in their groups, and then shared with the class. They also answered comprehension questions with their group members.

Spelling

Students copied the weekly words from the board 3 times! Then, students wrote sentences with each word, and completed work in their spelling workbook.
