The students are
starting to get very excited about the Spring Fundraiser!!! The Bake Sale went
great, and we are off to a good start. Next Friday, April 24th,
2015, grades JK to 4 will be going bowling as our final event for the Spring
Fundraiser. In order to participate in this event, every child must have a
minimum of $35.00 raised, however can absolutely raise more! If the student
chooses not participate, he/she is still expected to come to school for a
regular school day. I hope to see all children show some St. Jude’s School

Math Makes Sense
We learned about
fractions today. We focused of the meaning of halves, and how we can recognize
halves. Students then practiced working with fractions in their Math Makes
Sense!

Unit of Inquiry
We ran out of time
yesterday, and did not get to finish our journals or bookmarks! We finished
this today, and went over some important writing tools that I feel the students
are forgetting in their writing. For example, using proper capitals,
punctuation, and detail.
Writing Workshop
Today we looked at
our final OWA assessment! We looked over the instructions and the rubric
together, and did an example on the board so the students are aware of all
expectations! Then, they completed their pre assessment!
Have a wonderful night!
Ms. Rossi
