Welcome back everyone! I really hope everyone enjoyed their March Break!! It was very nice to see all the students back again J

Just wanted to remind all parents that classes for next year are filling up very quickly. If you have not yet registered for next year, please do so soon!

For those parents who are interested in enrolling their children in the St. Jude’s summer program, the information will be handed out by the end of this week with the students report card. There are a lot of changes to this summer program this year, and it sounds really exciting and fun for the students. Please be sure to check this out! 

Math 

Grade 1

The grade 1’s practiced their basic math skills in their arithmetic workbooks.

A1: pgs. 181-183 & 186.

Grade 2

The grade 2’s began their brand new math unit today! We reviewed what we have learned about double-digit numbers so far. Then we reviewed how to show numbers in various ways.

UOI

Grade 1

Today the grade 1’s received their new summative project. They will be researching a famous artist. Today they thought if various questions they would ask their artist. This will help them research.

Grade 2

Language 

The students worked on their language skills in their Language workbooks.

Novel Study

Today we read all of chapter 10 in our Winnie the Pooh novel. Students got to sit back and enjoy , then we went through the chapter together and we talked about the fun parts of the story.

Reflection

The students wrote a reflection of what they most enjoyed about March Break. We reviewed the most important steps in our writing, and why it is so important to add as much detail as possible.
