Reminders

1.    This Thursday, December 11th, the Caroling Club will be heading to a retirement home to spread some holiday spirit!
2.  The deadline for the $10.00 along with the permission form for the art program, which will take place on Friday, December 12th, 2014, has been extended! You can hand it in up until Friday.
3.   There will be a Bake Sale on December 16th, and 17th!
4.  Wednesday, December 17th, 2014: CHRISTMAS CONCERT at 7pm! The students are asked to wear black pants and either a plain red or plain green top. We are also asking that the students wear suspenders, as they are dressing like elves! I wanted to let everyone know in advance, so you have plenty of time to get these items!

5.   This year, we are also performing the Christmas Concert during the day on Tuesday, December 16th, at 11:45am.  Everyone is more welcomed to come and watch either performance, as we would like all parents see the show!

TAKE A LOOK AT OUR DAY!

Visual Art
We made Tradition Christmas ornaments! The students wrote down a tradition they do every year at Christmas! Then, they decorated an ornament for our Christmas Concert Decorations!

Gym – Ms. Lovan

Math
Today students continued to work on their graph booklet from yesterday!

UOI
Today we talked about how important organization is when it comes to writing! We read a story together and we talked about the beginning, the middle, and the end. Without organization in writing, the stories we read in class would never make sense! The students will be using the remainder of the week to write their very own “organized” short story! We started today off with a brainstorming worksheet as the first process in our short story writing.

Novel Study
Today we continued onto chapter 4 in our novel. The chapter began with Eeyore loosing his tail. The students work in pairs to make predictions about where his tail went. Then, we shared our ideas as a class.
