Welcome Back! I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. We have a VERY busy next few weeks, so please take a look at the important dates listed below!

Please check out upcoming announcements:  

1.   Toronto ZOO! Permission form and money due before May 28^th, 2015.

2.   Toronto ZOO Trip: Thursday, June 11^th, 2015 (We will be leaving at 9:00am. Don’t forget that students will be carrying their own lunch bags this trip! Please send them with a backpack and shoes that are comfortable for them. Students should also be wearing sunscreen and a hat!

3.   Casual Day has been CHNAGED next week due to Track and Field.

New Dates:

Tuesday, May 26^th, 2015: Casual Day

Wednesday, May 27^th, 2015: Summer Gym uniform for next Track and Field!

4.   Math Test Unit 11: Tuesday, May 26^th, 2015

5.   UOI SUMMATIVE! We will begin working on our summative this Thursday, May 28^th, 2015! I have sent home a letter stating the details for this summative today! Please take a look, and remember that the research information is due on THIS THURSDAY! If your child does not have information, then he/she will have to work on this at home. The habitat that is made for the animal is done at home! The only part we are working on in class is the written information that will be presented with their animal.

6.   I have changed the in-class spelling BEE to Monday, June 1^st, 2015!

7.   Thursday, June 4^th, 2015: Spelling Bee for grades JK to 2 begins at 9:00am!

8.   ARTS NIGHT: Wednesday, June 3^rd, 2014: Starts ay 7:00pm!

9.   Casual Day: Wednesday, June 10^th, 2014 (this is also graduation day so students are invited to dress up)

10.                Graduation Day for Grades JK – 2: Wednesday, June 10^th, 2015: Begins at 2:00 pm

Math

Students worked on their Unit 11 math review today in class. We went over this together and did some examples on the board! TEST TOMORROW!

Unit of Inquiry

Today we learned about OCEAN habitats! Students LOVE the ocean and already knew a lot from the Aquarium. Please see letter about summative that went home today!

Spelling

Students copied down their weekly words 3 times from the board! Then they created a sentence with each work and completed work in their workbooks!
