HAPPY EARTH DAY!! I hope that everyone enjoyed the extra long weekend J Today we enjoyed an amazing earth day at St. Jude’s!

Please take a look at our summer camp programs offered here at St. Jude’s. It is an amazing program this year with lots of fun activities! I know there are a few students who have not yet registered for next year. I know there are only a couple spots left for both grade 2, and grade 3.  If you have not registered and would like to come back next year, PLEASE do so soon.

Math 

Grade 1

Today in grade 1, we explored problem solving together as a class. The students broke a problem down according to what they already knew, and what they needed to find out.

Grade 2

The grade 2’s learned what area meant, and how to calculate it! We did an exercise in class, and then the students got a chance to work in their workbooks!

The Grade 2's will have a math test on Monday, April 28th, 2014. 

UOI

Grade 1

Today in UOI, the grade 1’s got this period to finish any last minute work for their presentations, and then they were given a chance to practice presenting their culture and art work!

Grade 2
Today the grade 2's met with Mr. Monaghan and reviewed the expectations of their summative project. If you have not started working on this with them, please do so soon. 

Language

Today the both grade 1’s and 2’s worked on their language skills in their Language workbooks.

We continued to work on our Arts Night Presentation.

-Students write out spelling words 3 times (cursive) in their notebooks. They write sentences for each spelling word.
