Good Evening everyone! This
Friday is International Day at St. Jude’s! It will begin at 3:00pm. If parents
would like to come in and take a look at the different cultures, they are more
than welcome to J We are doing all work in class, but if anyone has any extra
information or ideas please let me know!
Just wanted to remind all parents that classes for next
year are filling up very quickly. If you have not yet registered for next year,
please do so soon! Please also take a look at the summer camp for next year! Take

Math
Grade 1
The grade 1’s practiced their basic math skills in their arithmetic
workbooks.

The grade 2’s are working adding 3 digit numbers today!!

Grade 1
Today we watched
a video on Emily Carr Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zF9xukHeJNc.
We then read a book about her life and watch a powerpoint of some of her
artwork! We then discussed what they think her culture was and is, as well as the
aboriginal past of her life and how that is shown in her artwork.
Grade 2
The grade 2’s picked songs to dance too for multicultural day, and
figured out how they will teach the grade 1’s to Irish DANCE!
Language
The students worked on their language skills in their Langauge
Workbooks.

Journal: (5-6
sentences, paragraph format)
Students will
write a journal today about the book, THE DOT. Students will reflect on the
story and think about connections or interesting things they learned about
being an artist and creativity.
