Reminders
· Spelling work is not due until THURSDAYS. It is
a lot of work for the grade 1’s to
finish in class, so I have decided to give them until Thursday of each week to
complete the workbook, and the sentences.
· Spelling Tests are written every Friday
· SIGN UP FOR FALL FESTIVAL! I have put the permission form
in the pocket of the agenda, and the flyer is printed on the back with all the
information.

Our Day
French – Mme. Stella
Dramatic Art – Mr. Monaghan
Gym – Ms. Lovan
Math
Today in math, the students told me
what their favourite part patterning was, and why. We also did some activities
on the carpet using objects. Then the students did a review in their workbooks,
and worked on some extra patterning sheets.
MMS: pg. 16
UOI – Unit of Inquiry
Today in UOI, the children did some
acting!! They received scenarios of children who were acting irresponsible.
With their table groups, they acted out how to fix the situation to be
responsible students. They had a great time doing this!
Novel Study
So far the
children LOVE Flat Stanley. Today we read chapter 2, and recapped what happened
at the beginning, the middle, and the end of the chapter. I am trying to review
this process with the students, as we will be doing our DRA’s soon.
Writing
Yesterday,
we did not get a chance to finish practicing our sentences, so we reviewed this
today, and worked on their sentences.
Have a
great night!
Ms. Rossi
