Our Day
French – Mme. Stella
Visual Art
Today in
visual art we reviewed shapes, and we can use them to make all sorts of
pictures. Then we reviewed what a portrait means, and where we see them! Then
we used shapes to make a portrait of their table buddy!
Gym – Ms. Lovan
Math
Today in math we talked about
“attributes” and what attributes are and how we use them to sort objects. We
started off talking about the various attributes found in our classmates (hair,
eyes, skin), and then I had the students’ sort themselves. We did a few
examples like this, and then we practiced in our workbook.
MMS (Math Makes Sense) pg. 6
UOI – Unit of Inquiry
Today in UOI, table groups had to
brainstorm the various roles of their family members. Each table had a
different member of the family, and we shared our results at the end of our
period.
Novel Study – Flat Stanley
Our novel
for semester 1 is the very first book of flat Stanley. I showed them the cover,
and they predicted what they think the novel will be about. Then, they covered
their very own Flat Stanley.
Language
We ran out of time yesterday to go
over punctuation marks, so we reviewed the period, exclamation mark, and the
question mark.
Have a nice night.
Ms. Rossi
