Fantastic FRIDAY!

Good evening parents! We had a super busy day today, with lots of really fun activities.  I just wanted to remind everyone to encourage the children to raise money for the Terry Fox Run, which is held on Monday. Your support is greatly appreciated J

Our Day
French – Mme. Stella

Visual Art
Since the Terry Fox Run is on Monday, we coloured in our very own shoes and inside the shoe we wrote who we are walking for on Monday. Then, we learned about Terry Fox and read a very nice story about the "Marathon of Hope"

Gym – Ms. Lovan

Spelling Test!

Math
Today in math, the students continued to learn and practice patterns. They started off by putting themselves into a pattern on their very own. This helped us recognize and explain a “pattern core”. They continued to practice this skill in their Math Makes Sense workbook.
Homework: MMS: pgs. 10 – 12

UOI – Unit of Inquiry
Now that we have spent the week learning about the students relationships at home and at school, the children created a heart map describing all the important relationships in their life. Later, they presented their heart maps, and explained why relationships are so important to them.

Novel Study!
Today we read the very first chapter of Flat Stanley. They then had a chance to relate to Stanley, and explain what they would do if they turned FLAT!
