Good evening parents! Hope to see everyone at the Christmas concert next week on Wednesday, December 18^th, 2013. Just wanted to remind everyone that the last day of school is on Thursday, December 19^th, 2013. That is also spirit day! The students are encouraged to come to school in red, white, and green! Math

Grade 1

Today in math the students worked on their math skills in their Arithmetic workbooks.

Grade 1

Now that our main ideas are organized, the grade 1’s are taking the next step on our story writing activity. They filled out a story-planning chart. This helped them organized all the details they will include in their story.

Grade 2

The grade 2s conducted an experiment to see if a structure is more stable if the weight is at the top vs. if the weight is at the bottom of the structure. Students were asked to make predictions of the experiment.  

Language

Both the grade 1’s and 2’s worked on their phonics in their letters and sounds workbooks.

Cursive

I have seen a big improvement in both grade 1 and grade 2 cursive writing. They are expected to always write in cursive going forward.
