Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed their family day long weekend!  I just wanted to remind everyone that the Gala is this Saturday, February 22, 2013.  Its going to be a great, and I really hope to see you all there :) Take a look at our day.

Message from Ms. Pattenick:

Grade 1-2: Please wear anything loose and comfortable; girls can wear skirts if they'd like…we are trying to wear colourful clothing, specifically orange, purple, green and red, as the Adivasi people do. Feel free to wear a "kurta", traditional Indian clothing as well!

Math 

Grade 1

The grade 1’s will be practicing their math skills in their arithmetic workbook. They are beginning to learn and work with fractions.

Grade 2 

The grade two’s practiced their basic math skills in their arithmetic workbooks.

Grade 1

The grade 1’s finished up their summative brainstorming sheet, and began their good copy today. They came up with really cool and creative inventions!

Grade 2 

The grade 2’s presented their speeches with the rest of the grade 2’s today. Ms. Barber, who is the new grade 3 teacher judged their speeches and chose the top 3 today!!

The rest of the day was dedicated to the Gala performance. With the rest of the school, they watched the whole performance.

Language 

The students worked on their language skills in their Language workbooks.
