Welcome back! I really hope that everyone who attended the gala had a great time. It was very nice to see everyone all dressed up J This Wednesday, February 26^th, 2014 is casual day, so please do not send you child to school in uniform. This Thursday, February 27^th is SPEECH DAY! The students who got chosen will be presented in the gym in front of the school and judges. Parents are more than welcomed to attend. SPIRIT WEEK is coming up! This is a great opportunity for children to show how much St. Jude’s spirit they have! Pease pay attention to the following dates:

Grade 1

Today we began our brand new unit! We will be learning about 3D objects and figures. We looked at different geometry words we will be using in this unit. We looked at 3-d object together.

Today the students reviewed what they have learned about 3D solids, and applied them to various problems.

Both the grade 1’s and 2’s worked on their summative projects today.

The students worked on their language skills in their Letters and Sounds workbooks.

Spelling

Both the grade 1’s and 2’s worked copied their spelling words from the board 3 times in their notebooks. Then they created a sentence using each word. After this, they worked in their spelling workbooks.
