Good evening everyone!  I just wanted to remind all parents that the Gala is this Saturday, February 22, 2013.  Its going to be a great, and I really hope to see you all there :) Take a look at our day.

Math 

Grade 1

Today students received their math review for their test on Friday. We went through the review together and the students were given a chance to ask any questions regarding the test on Friday.

Grade 2 

The grade two’s continued to learn about 3D solids and their attributes. They are focusing on how to compare them according to their attributes.

Grade 1

The students used this period to complete their brainstorming portion of their summative projects.

Grade 2 

The grade 2’s reviewed their summative project, and began today in class.

Language 

The students worked on their language skills in their Letter and Sounds workbooks.

Cursive Writing

The grade 1’s and 2’s need to get back in routine of writing in only cursive. I have noticed a lot of the children have been forgetting to write in cursive. Today we will review some letters the children are having trouble with, and then they were given some time in class to work in their workbooks.

Later on in the afternoon, the students organized their IB binders. They had to decide what tab a certain piece of work went under. This was a good chance for the kids to review their work, as they were reminded what they exceled in, and what they need to work on.
