Welcome back everyone!!!
Thank you so much for everything in regards to international day! It was so
nice to see the whole class come together as we explored Italy! I had a great
time, and I hope you did too! Please check out upcoming announcements:
1. I sent home a letter regarding poems! This is for an oral
contest held at St. Jude’s every year! Each child received a poem yesterday,
which they are expected to memorize for February 20th, 2015!
2. Unit Math Test: Tuesday, January 27th, 2015
3. Science Centre: Next
Thursday, February 5th, 2015! Please
make sure students are dressed in their full St. Jude’s Uniform. It is much
easier if students bring disposal bags and water bottles for their lunches.J

Math
Today we took up the math review
together as a class, and the students were able to ask any questions they had
regarding this unit. Then they got use the rest of the time to study as I circulated
the class.
This units test will be next Tuesday, January 27th,

Unit of Inquiry
We began reading a book called “Hooray
for Inventors”. We then brainstormed why inventions are important to us. The
students then wrote a journal response as to why inventions are important to
them (5 – 6 sentences with a picture)
Spelling
The students wrote the new spelling
words 3 times from the board, along with their sentences. Then they practiced
using these words in their spelling workbook.
SPA: pgs. 69 – 72
Have a wonderful Evening
