Hello everyone! Please remember that students should be writing in cursive only from now on. This is a slow learning process, but they are experiencing excellent practice and all students are trying really hard to write in cursive!  Please check out upcoming announcements:

1. I sent home a letter regarding poems! This is for an oral contest held at St. Jude’s every year! Each child received a poem yesterday, which they are expected to memorize for February, 20^th, 2015!

2. International Day will be held this year on Friday, January 23^rd, 2015. We will be in the gym from 2:30pm to 3:20pm. At this time, parents are able to come in and explore the other countries! Hope to see everyone tomorrow!

3. Unit Math Test: Tuesday, January 27^th, 2015

4. Permission form and money for the Science Centre Last day is Friday January 23^rd, 2015.

We finished our pasta flags today! The kids loved this activity and I am so happy they had fun! We finished our final touched on our board as well! It looks awesome J

Today the students did the review in their  math makes sense books! We also talked about what we liked in this unit, and what we did not like.

This units test will be next Tuesday, January 27^th, 2015.

Unit of Inquiry

Today we watched a “School of Rock Invention Video!” Then we filled out KWL chart about inventions! What we know, what we want to know, and what we learned.

Novel Study

Today we continued to read to our Winnie the Pooh novel study! We looked at a poem that Winnie the Pooh read, and discussed how his words rhymed! Then we made a t-chart thinking of as may rhyming words we could think of!
