Hello everyone, and welcome back! I hope you all had a great weekend! I sent home a letter today regarding the author visit to St. Judes Academy. If you are interested, please read for more information. I think this will be a great experience for the children. Take a look at our day;

Math

Grade 1

Today the students had their math test! They did really well with this unit!

Grade 2

Today the grade two’s learned about money. Using the big math, students came up and told me what is a nickel, dime, and how much they are worth. We reviewed cents, and dollars, and the symbols that belong with them.

Homework

MMS: pg. 67, 68

UOI

Grade 1

Today was the very last day to finish the UOI project. After this, we reviewed concepts for our dinosaur test tomorrow J

Grade 2

We worked on the media presentations, and wrote the most important parts of their presentations.

Language

The grade 1’s and 2’s practiced their phonics in their Letters and Sounds workbooks.

Homework

Grade 1: LS pg. 47 – 48

Grade 2: LS pg. 33 – 34

Spelling

Both grades 1 and 2 practiced their spelling words in their notebook today. They had to write their words 3 times in their notebooks and then write a sentence for each word. They then practiced using these words in their spelling workbooks.
