SCIENTIST IN THE SCHOOL!

The grade 2’s participated in the scientist in the school program from 8: 30am to 11:45am.

Math 

Grade 1

Using ten frames, we looked at combinations. For instance, we reviewed what happens when add 2 to a number. (6 + 2 = 8).

Grade 1

Today the grade 1’s got their summative tasks today. We went through the rubric and the expectations. The students were given a chance to ask questions during this time. They began their brainstorming today. 

Language 

Both grade 1's and 2's worked on their phonics today in their Letters and Sounds.  

Grade 1: pgs. 69 – 70

Grade 2: pgs. 56 – 57

Spelling

The students copied down their spelling words from the board 2 times, and then made a sentence using each word. When they were done, they worked in their spelling workbooks.
