Happy New Year! I hope everyone had an amazing holiday! It was very nice to see my students again today! I just wanted to remind all parents that tickets for the St. Judes Academy Gala are on sale now. Tickets for adults are $65 and tickets for children are $10. This will be a really great night out :) Today was a very quit day as we had a lot of students missing in our class! Take a look; 

Math

Garde 1&2

The grade 1's and 2's working on their addition and subtraction skills, as well as solving word problems and patterns.  The grade two's learned about quaters today as well!

A2: pgs. 80 - 83 

 

UOI 

Since we only had a couple students from each grade, we did not begin our UOI today. We will work on catching up tomorrow. As a class we read a story, and focused on retelling using the events that occured at the beginning, the middle, and the end of the story. 

Language

Both grades worked in their phonics skills in their Language workbooks.

Spelling 

Both grades copied their spelling words in their notebooks three times. The grade 2's are to write in cursive, and the grade 1's are encouraged to begin writing in cursive. They then had to write a complete sentence for each word. When this is completed, they worked on their spelling workbooks.
