Grade 1

The students practiced their basic math skills in their arithmetic workbooks today.

Grade 2 

The grade 2’s got their math review today. We went over it as a class, and the grade 2’s got a chance to work on their review in class.

The grade 1’s got to listen to a radio broadcast! Then we analyzed it today as a class. Then the students worked in groups to make their radio aid.

Grade 2 

Language 

Both grade 1's and 2's worked on their phonics today in their Language workbooks.

Language

Today we read a story, and the students had to “retell” what happened in the beginning, in the middle, and the end. The students also had to recognize the characters, the problem, and the solution. This format relates to the DRA assessments. It is very good practice for the students.

Novel Study

The students got a chance to finish their birthday cards for Eeyore.
