Good evening everyone. Just a reminder that the lunch forms
is due Next Friday on the September 27th 2013. Hope everyone is
excited for the weekend! This is what we did today;
UOI

Today we discussed what goals are and how they are related
to responsibility. Students will write and complete “My Goals” sheet for the
year. Then we discussed as a class long and short-term goals.
NO HOMEWORK
Grade 2
The students had to locate
Asia, Africa, Europe, South America, North America and Australia on maps and
plot. They also discussed why natural resources, food may be different. Students
prepared for a trip around the world by making passports and packing magic
suitcases. Students recognized that what we pack will depend on where we go
(ie. Pack different things for different locations)
Climates: tropical (high
temp, rain), cold (snow and ice), hot (warm temperature). They had fun with
this!

Students will also practice completing a changing pattern, as well as addition
problems.

The grade two’s practiced
addition, subtraction, problem solving, and place value. The rest of the period
was used to review information for the math test, which I feel was a great way
to prepare them for tomorrow. I took some students aside and discussed the some
questions they had regarding the test today.
