October 31, 2013

Good evening parents! Today was a lot of fun! Students had a great time in their costumes and everyone is definitely excited to continue the celebrations tonight! I hope everyone has a safe night J I would also like to mention that the grade 1’s will be going on their very first field trip!! As part of Unit of Inquiry, we will be taking a trip to the Royal Ontario Museum on Wednesday, October 6th, 2013. We will be having a lesson about Dinosaurs, and we will get to see all the pieces that have to do with dinosaurs. I have sent home a letter tonight with more information. Please send the permission form back with the money by the latest Tuesday, October 5th 2013.  If you can send it by tomorrow that would be great!! Today was a really fun and crazy day. We did a lot of Halloween math and language activities. Since the children were on their very best behavior today, I promised we would have a small party at the end of the day. We played Halloween bingo, and I gave out some peanut free treats for the kids. A lot of the kids brought treats for the class, which they put directly into their bags for home. This week the children have been working really hard in class to get all their work done. Their listening has really improved. I am also very happy to see that they all try and help each other, which is something I admire in all my students. I have decided that they deserve tonight off to celebrate all their hard work J I hope that everyone has a fabulous, fun and most importantly safe Halloween night!
